Does anybody here have a personal review of Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington? I'm an incoming high school senior from Oregon looking at universities. My GPA is 3.7. I'm interested in visual arts (I'm an illustrator and painter), music (keyboardist and guitarist and I write a ton), psychology, history, and languages (already fluent in Spanish, taking German). I've attended an alternative high school that doesn't use letter grades so I feel like Evergreen would be something familiar. I also love nature and the Pacific Northwest. Some concerns I have: -I'm not exactly a liberal or a conservative, I'm sort of in between and not very interested in politics in the first place, but I heard that people at Evergreen are pretty intolerant if you aren't ultra-liberal. People like that frustrate me but I try to be as respectful of others' beliefs as possible. Just how ultra-liberal/intolerant are the majority of people? -Drugs. I'm pretty anti-drug myself though I respect other people's choices. Will I be pressured to use? How big of a part of Evergreen life is drug use? Thanks for reading. Can anybody tell me their impressions of Evergreen or their personal experiences there? I'd also like to know if the school sounds like an okay fit for me.
